Great Haywood

Shugborough Hall a NT owned building that is looked after by Staffordshire council. It was home to the Anson family, and it has a working farm, gardens and many follies. Unfortunately it isn’t open until 13th March, so we will have to visit another time if we ever come back this way.

a packhorse bridge on the edge of the estate the Anson family used to get to church with lock 22 straight after

junction post where the T&M branches with the Staffs and Worcester canal.  It’s been a lovely sunny day although a bit windy. Us southerners still in our North Face coats and Nordic hats!!!

We will be off again tomorrow and heading towards Stone after doing the necessary sanitary stuff and filling up with water.
